BOOKING
What is the cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 36 hours notice for cancellations. If you cancel within 36 hours of your appointment, you may be charged a cancellation fee equal to 50% of your service value. No shows are charged 100%. You can reschedule or cancel online anytime, and you will be prompted to pay the fee if you are within the 36 hour window.
Why do I have to put my credit card on file?
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. I take every detail from your booking form to set up a luxuriously cozy treatment experience for you. In order to keep providing this level of service, my booking system requires a credit card on file, and signed acknowledgement of the cancellation policy. Cancellations within 36 hours of the appointment will incur a charge equal to 50% of the service total. If you do not show up to your appointment, you will be charged 100% of the service total.
Do I have to book online?
Online booking is the quickest and most immediate way to reserve an appointment at Green Tea Esthetics. Calling and texting is available during business hours, however I do not answer my phone during facial treatments - which is why I highly recommend online booking. Calls/texts will be returned in 1-2 business days.
Can I book 2 treatments at the same time for me and someone else?
Sorry, I'm just one person and I can only do one service at a time! However, you are more than welcome to book two treatments back-to-back, and come to your appointments together!
FACIALS
How do I prepare for a facial?
7 days before your facial, stop using exfoliating products including retinoids. Avoid waxing or tweezing the skin before your facial. It is recommended to come to your facial appointment without makeup on, but either way it will be washed off during the cleanse.
Can teenagers get skin treatments?
Yes! With parent/guardian permission, teens 13+ can absolutely get facial treatments. I would recommend starting with the 60 Minute Custom Facial for a teen facial.

DERMAPLANING
What are contraindications for dermaplaning?
You are not a candidate for a dermaplane treatment if: You used Acutane in the last year You received botox in the in the last week You are a diabetic You have a viral infection You are on a blood thinner (Ex. Aspirin) You are prone to keloids or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation You have a sunburn or windburn You have Grade 3 Acne or above You are undergoing treatment for cancer You are using retinol/Retin-A (stop at least a week before your dermaplane)
Once the vellus hair is removed will it grow back thicker?
No, this is physiologically impossible. The soft, fine vellus hair will grow back slowly – usually in about 4 weeks. (There are two types of hair that grow on our bodies: Vellus hair is the thin, fine, soft hair that typically covers the entire body. Terminal hair is the course hair that grows on the head, face in men, underarms, legs and pubic areas.) Dermaplaning, waxing, tweezing or any other depilatory form of hair removal cannot alter the type of hair grown in any given area.
How often can I get dermaplaned?
Every 3-4 weeks
Is there any downtime afterwards?
No, that’s one of the benefits. The skin instantly has a healthier glow and feels amazingly soft, plus makeup glides on effortlessly for a flawless finish. This is a must have procedure before an important social event or television appearance.
Can men get dermaplaned?
Yes they can, but only non-bearded areas can be dermaplaned.
How do I take care of my skin after dermaplaning?
Avoid sun exposure as much as possible Hydrate more often than normal Do not use retinol one week pre and post dermaplaning Makeup can be irritating right after dermaplaning Use a gentle cleanser. Don't use abrasive cleanser, Clarisonic, or hot shower water for 48 hours afterwards Do not use cleansers, serums, or spot treatments containing retinol, salicylic acid, or benzoyl peroxide for 5 days following treatment No exfoliating products for a few days Avoid excessive heat (steamy showers, sauna) for 24-48 hours afterwards
MASSAGE
How should I prepare for my massage/facial blend service?
Come well-hydrated and avoid heavy meals immediately beforehand. A quick shower before your appointment is helpful - it warms the muscles, increases circulation, and helps you feel refreshed and relaxed on the table. If you have any areas you'd like me to focus on - or avoid - please include that on your intake form.
